DEVISON Red Wine, Yakima Valley ‘Above the Flood’ 2020

Displaying a dark purple core with a blueish rim, this scrumptious blend of 50% Grenache, 45% Syrah, and 5% Mourvedre is a complex and outstanding effort from the Devison team. Notes of boysenberry, black cherry, wild huckleberry, shaved dark chocolate, cedary herbs, and toasted baking spices are perfectly integrated together. Delivering a smooth and earthy mouthfeel with flavors of black pepper, smoked meats, and black olives, it finishes with flawless levels of acidity and tannins and a wet earth and peppery note at the back of the palate. Better in 2023. Highly recommended.
