COTE BONNEVILLE Red Blend, Yakima Valley ‘Carriage House’ 2018
The 2018 Carriage House by Cote Bonneville is a Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. This light to medium-bodied wine is deep violet in color, gives off a nose of dark cherries, and is classically constructed. With a fine tannic structure and an ample backbone, this wine moves effortlessly forward as it progresses. Black cherry, ripe plum, and bittersweet chocolate greet you early on, with blackberry and slight espresso bean joining the party mid-palate. Stylistically old world, with a shortish finish, this wine needs a few more years to unwind and then should cruise nicely for at least 15 years.
