This Pinot comes from the Saltonstall Vineyard, which is located just 14 miles from the Pacific in the Petaluma Gap. It begins with aromas of fresh cherries, currant, blueberries, licorice coupled with baking spices, lavender, and dried leaf all taking shape. On the palate this has a silky round texture with soft tannins and flavors of red fruits and spices which expand though the finish. This is showing well today and should continue to develop nicely in bottle over the next 8-10 years.
