This 2015 Pinot Noir comes from the Kashaya Vineyard, located in the cool climate of the Fort Ross-Seaview AVA. There are normally 14-17 barrels made, but low yields in 2015 resulted in only 7 barrels. The wine itself is extremely aromatic, with aromas of red cherries, rhubarb, wild strawberry and black raspberries with hints of savory spices, black soil and lavender. Medium-bodied, with soft tannins and lovely definition. It possesses a wonderful fresh character, with gorgeous red and black berry flavors, followed by a mouthwatering, acidic finish. This Pinot Noir is fabulous today and it has the backbone to last over a decade.
