The 2017 Wildcat Mountain Vineyard from Talisman is fantastic. It opens to seductive aromatics of dark berries, strawberries, currants which are woven together with spices, sassafras, and hints crushed stones which all soar from the glass. On the palate this is fresh and inviting, with a medium-bodied, backed by gorgeous plush texture that is framed by lovely minerality. This displays excellent balance, with gorgeous ripe flavors of berries, sour cherries and spices that persist through the long, mineral-laced finish. Outstanding today, but should also evolve nicely for well over a decade..
