The 2012 Syrah Bei Ranch from Eric Demuth was hand basket pressed into 100% neutral oak Boudreaux barrels. It contains 95% Syrah and 5% Viognier. This is young and fresh with lots of bright red fruit, berries, vanilla, dried herbs and violet. Medium-bodied with lots of elegance and finesse with lean with a core of fresh fruit and acidity. Without a doubt, this demands 2-3 years of cellaring and will continue evolve for the next decade. (Best 2017-2025) - January, 2015 (MD)
