ERIC DEMUTH Cabernet Sauvignon, Clajeux Vineyard 2012

This Cabernet Sauvignon from Eric Demuth comes from the heralded Clajeux vineyard in Chalk Hill. The vineyard is south facing and maintains the cool morning climate. It has a classic nose of blackberries, tobacco, pomegranate, cassis, cedar box, and wild, following this are touches of violet and dried currant. It has a solid core of mainly red fruits with hints of black fruit, bell pepper and dried herbs. All of this comes together in the youthful and dry finish. This is showing a lot of complexities and structure today but will benefit from 3-4 years of bottle age. (Best 2018-2030) - September, 2015 (MD)
