The 2012 Weir Vineyard Pinot Noir from Talisman comes vines planted in 1992, grown at 850-1000 ft elevation in loamy clay soils. It displays aromas of wild blackberries, cherry, fresh mineral and savory spice. On the palate this has a balanced attack of red fruit, strawberry, and wild herbs. Overall a very well made Pinot that will benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and last 10-15 years. (Best 2017-2027) - March, 2016 (MD)
