It begins to impress with its stunning aromatics of black currants, black cherries, exotic spices, dark chocolate, earthy loam and an underlying sense of minerality that all come together beautifully. On this palate this possesses a full-bodied texture that is well-structured and beautifully polished, resulting in a gorgeous opulent mouthfeel. It continues to impress with its remarkable overall balance and concentration as layers of beautiful ripe dark fruits and mocha nuances build up to the fresh, supple finish which lingers on. The 2019 highlights the exceptional wines from Gandona in this vintage. It is a total beauty and should go on to age remarkably well for decades to come.
