Displaying light ruby in the glass, almost rosé-like, this lighter style Pinot Noir from the famed Hyland Vineyard rests for 10 months in 15% new French oak barrels. The nose is outstanding with red cherry, Earl Gray tea, red licorice, vanilla bean and just a hint of Navel orange. The palate is lean and crunchy delivering flavors of cranberry, red raspberry, orange pitch and savory fresh poultry herbs. The finish is very mineral and fresh with medium tannins that balance out the high acidity very nicely.
