Dry-farmed on Jory soils at elevations ranging from 520 to 825 feet, seven individual vineyard plots of the Evenstad Estate are used for this magical Pinot Noir that is aged for 18 months in 59% new French oak barrels. Dense and fragrant on the nose, it’s a tad more black-fruit driven than red fruit with added aromas of black tea, soy sauce, purple rose, dried hay and toasted anise. The palate is expansive, decadent and delivers bountiful blueberry pie, black plum skin, and toasted cedary herb components that deliver in spades. Wonderfully balanced with luscious acidity and silky sweet tannins - this is a wine that will age wonderfully for another decade or more.
