Planted in 2000 and aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, the 2019 Two Barns Pinot Noir is tightly wound, lean, and scrumptious. It’s very much red-fruit driven - fresh cranberry, red currant, and wild mountain strawberry lead the pack with additional secondary aspects of scorched poultry herbs, freshly cut hay, blood orange zest, and a smidgeon of tomato leaf following suit. Tannins are present but integrated, while the elevated levels of acidity allow the wine to finish long and fruity. 550 cases produced.
