DOMAINE SERENE Sparkling Wine, Dundee Hills ‘Blanc du Blanc’ 2014

Chardonnay grapes coming from the Cote Sud vineyard that was planted own-rooted in 1990, this is one of the oldest Dijon clones planted in the US. Spending 8 months in barrel, 4.5 years in tirage, and 1 year under cork, this stunning vintage sparkler from Serene features mouthwatering acidity, and notes of fresh white nectarine, freshly baked brioche, crushed pink peppercorn, and a hint of dried sage. The fine mousse dances on the tongue and gives way to a mouthwatering and lengthy finish. Oregon is producing spectacular sparkling wines and this is a spectacular example. Enjoy this one over the next 20 years. Only 119 cases produced.
