Another single-block and single clone (777) wine from Domaine de Broglie, this one is aged for 16 months in 29% new French oak barrels. I love how the Domaine focuses on these small parcels of land, and one single clone, so consumers are able to be educated on the wonderful differences between each clone. Showcasing a medium to dark garnet core moving to a brickish rim, it opens with notes of strawberry-rhubarb preserves, black cherry, white chocolate, Indian spices, cola, and a hint of umami. Very well balanced with mouthwatering acidity, crunchy tannin, and a medium body - it’s my favorite of what I tasted from Domaine De Broglie this year.
