The 2020 Sokol Blosser Chardonnay is fermented in 25% concrete egg and 35% new French oak and then aged for ten months in neutral oak barrels and then moved to stainless steel tanks for three months before bottling. It’s beautifully made with lovely lemon curd, yellow apple, fresh Bartlett pear, scraped vanilla bean seed, and hints of brioche. Because of the process in which it’s made, it features a luscious and round mouthfeel with a full body, perfectly balanced acidity, and lengthy finish. 724 cases were produced.
