The 2020 Durant Vineyard Chardonnay from Morgen Long is all Dijon 96 Clone, grown on 20-year-old vines. Raised up on 40% new French oak barrel with long-light toasting, it’s very Chablis-like in structure, with lovely tension and a gorgeous, gentle mouthfeel. Notes of wet white clay, Meyer lemon, Asian pear, and dried mint explode from the glass and in your mouth. Rounded acidity brings a creaminess to the palate that ends with a scrumptious long finish. Only about 60 cases produced.
