DOMAINE SERENE Pinot Noir, Dundee Hills ‘Gold Eagle Vineyard’ 2019

Typically used as a part of the Evenstad Reserve, but this time part of the wine has been bottled into a single-vineyard bottling. The 2019 Gold Eagle Vineyard from Domaine Serene showcases a medium to dark ruby core with a neon pink rim. Stunning on the nose with a bouquet of macerated strawberries, blueberry preserves, burnt orange, toasty cinnamon, and mountain herbs, it is a fun wine to sit with and watch how it evolves with time in the glass. The palate is a tad leaner than the nose, but with a few years of bottle age, it’s really going to shine. Better in 2024.
