The Abbey Oak Vineyard is the only Domaine Serene vineyard in Yamhill and features marine sedimentary soils which give it a deeper and richer presence in the glass. A deep ruby-purple core with a blueish rim is definitely eye-catching and the notes of red and black plum, pine huckleberry, pencil shavings, pine needle, and sweet baking spice hits the palate, and doesn’t give up. It’s a solid effort featuring crunchy sweet tannins and lovely levels of acidity. 850 cases were made.
