Sourced from a small 1-acres parcel of the Willakenzie Estate, this racy Chardonnay is aged in a combination of neutral and new French oak for a total of 16 months. It’s a bit tightly-wound right now and will need a heavy decant or a few years in the bottle, but it has the stuff to age incredibly well. Notes of fresh white peach, apricot, lemony herbs, grilled lemon citrus, white flower blossom, and wet stone minerality combine nicely in the glass. It’s medium to full-bodied, gives elevated levels of acidity on the palate, and finishes with hints of lemon zest and blanched almond on the mid-palate. Best in 2023. Just 233 cases were produced.
