Brickish-ruby colored core with a neon purple rim displays beautifully in the glass. Coming from the Yamhill-Carlton Willakenzie Estate, the 2019 Clairière is an exquisite example of Oregon Pinot Noir. Beautiful perfume of black cherry, blackberry, ground coffee, candied violet petal, tilled earth, and a hint of cedary herbs explode from the glass. It hits the palate with wonderful richness, handsome balance, subtle oak spice, and a creamy, black-fruit-driven finish. Better in 2023, let this one age for the next 8-10 years and be richly rewartded. Just 350 cases were produced.
