Old vines planted in the 1980s on unique volcanic soils at 550 feet of elevation, it displays a gorgeous medium neon magenta color with a brickish rim in the glass. It spends 15 months in about 25% new French oak barrels. Spectacular notes of blue plum, white pepper, fresh oregano, dried rose, mountain sagebrush, toasted clove, sandalwood, and wet crushed stone. Stunning acidity and crunch tannins frame the core, ending herbaceous and downright delicious.
