Resting for 10 months in 37% new French oak, the 2019 Estate Pinot Noir from Penner-Ash displays a light neon ruby in the glass with a watery rim. The nose brings aromas of freshly cut alfalfa, forest blueberry, wild huckleberry, wet autumn leaves, and a hint of black licorice. The palate is tart and focused, with additional flavors of blueberry skins and ground white pepper. Mouthwatering acidity combines with crunchy sweet tannins and a medium to full body. Another young Pinot Noir from the estate that will only benefit from some proper cellaring for a few years. Better in 2023. About 600 cases made.
