HOLOCENE Pinot Noir, Yamhill-Carlton ‘Memorailis’ 2021

Todd Alexander was very smart when he crafted the 2021 Holocene Pinot Noirs because he decided to use 100% whole cluster during fermentation which ended up being a very good thing. These wines need that added stem earthiness, structure, and tannins, as most 2021s are incredibly light with very light tannins. Notes of dark cherry, dried cedary herbs, and spiced red plum pop from the glass. It sports crunchy tannins, a full mouthfeel, and perfect levels of acidity. Just 260 cases made. Highly recommended.
