PONZI Pinot Noir, Yamhill-Carlton ‘Lazy River’ 2019

Another stunning Pinot Noir from Ponzi, this time, the 2019 Lazy River, is aged for 20 months in 25% new French oak. A shimmering neon ruby core with a burnt orange-colored rim is beautiful to behold. It’s an earthy and spicy effort that features notes of dusty country road, Christmas spices, red plum, grenadine, umami, wet autumn leaves, and old leather. It’s a wine with incredible balance finishing with soft sweet tannins, medium acidity, and a medium to full body. 200 cases produced.
