The 2015 Col Solare 'Component Collection' Syrah is a truly outstanding wine that is already impressive in its youth, yet also displays wonderful aging potential. It begins with an inviting bouquet which takes on a smoky edge with smoked brisket and creosote aromatics which are underlined by black fruits. On the palate this displays copious dark fruits with notable minerality, followed by flavors of mocha and sage. An outstanding Syrah, this is nearly impossible to resist now, but should also have a wonderful future.
