Displaying deep purple with a neon ruby rim and producing captivating aromas of black currant, black plum skin, shaved dark chocolate, toasted clove, and wild mountain sage, this is a lovely Cabernet Sauvignon coming from the Old Block Vineyard. The palate is dominated by blue and black fruit, iron, cedar, and saline. Despite being a 2016, it’s still incredibly young with racy acidity and grippy tannins. I would give this two more years before enjoying and then drink over the next decade.
