An unusual grape to be found in Washington, this 76% Lemberger is finished with 14% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Carmenere. The Kiona family has been growing Lemberger on Red Mountain for 4 decades. It’s interesting and funky on the nose with aromas of red cherry, plum, pencil eraser, black licorice, and wet turned earth. It’s medium bodied with decent acidity and silky tannin that would go well with a nice smoked pork shoulder. Drink now. Best Buy.
