100% Syrah from Red Mountain that is fermented in concrete and stainless steel and then aged in 20% new French oak. Displaying a core of inky dark purple with a fluorescent pink rim and a nose of wild blackberry, fresh tar, violet flower, and bacon fat. Medium-high acidity, a medium to full body, and crunchy tannins work perfectly with the flavors of blueberry pie, tobacco leaf, and crushed stone. It’s another outstanding Syrah from winemaker Todd Alexander. Only 238 cases produced.
