Cabernet Franc is one of my favorite varietals that I don’t drink enough of and this blend of 76% Cabernet Franc, 19% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon that is aged for 20 months in 60% new French oak is a stunning example of why everyone should be reaching for more Franc. Notes of baked black raspberry, black cherry, pencil shavings, ground green peppercorn, sweet nutmeg, and dried rosemary. Grippy tannins, high acidity, a full mouthfeel, and a savory finish complete the wine. Better in 2024.
