Another fantastic Cabernet Sauvignon from Red Mountain, this one comes from the famous Klipsun Vineyard. It’s a blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon and 16% Malbec that is aged for 20 months in 86% new French oak. Showing dark purple, with an inky core and a bright ruby rim, this wine is pure Red Mountain terroir - think aspects of blackberry pie, black plum, toasted baking spice, mountain sage, dried mint, dark chocolate, and tilled earth. It’s more fruit-forward on the front palate than its siblings with high levels of acidity, grippy tannins, and a full mouthfeel. Best after 2024 and then enjoy for 15 years or more.
