Checking in at 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, and 4% Petit Sirah, with the rest split between Cabernet Franc and Malbec - it’s deep and brooding in the glass. A nose of blackberry, cassis, key-lime pie, graham cracker, and cedary herbs explodes from the glass. The palate is a bit leaner, more savory, and meaty than the nose with additional components of tar, wet tilled earth, and pencil shavings. It has plentiful acidity and plush tannins to complement the savory peppery finish.
