This scrumptious Syrah (92% Syrah, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 4% Petit Verdot) from Ambassador comes from the Red Mountain AVA and has that telltale Red Mountain nose of mountain sage, dried mint, wet earth, and wild blueberry. Flavors of blackberry, freshly cracked black pepper, olive, and dried meat are all present on the palate along with medium-plus acidity and crunchy tannins. I love the beautiful saline and mineral aspect on the finish. Only 150 cases produced.
