ANDREW JANUIK, Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Mountain ‘Stone Cairn’ 2019

Giving superb classic Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon character, as well as lip-smacking minerality and crunchy tannins, the 2019 Stone Cairn is a blend of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Merlot. Notes of crunchy black fruit, mountain wild mint, dried blueberry, dark plum, spicey cinnamon stick, and a slight meaty tone are all present. This flows to a medium to full-bodied, wonderfully proportioned Cabernet that delivers a layered, concentrated, and delicious finish. Cellar this one for a year or two before enjoying.
