Coming from all Red Mountain estate fruit, this two-barrel special selection from the block 2 Cabernet Sauvignon selection rests for 20 months in 100% new French oak barrels. Dark and brooding in the glass with a deep purple core and a pink neon rim, it is a treat in the mouth with stunning notes of fresh macerated blackberry, mulberry, cassis, black spiced plum, dried Red Mountain sagebrush, toasted black peppercorn, dried cedary herbs, dried white flower, and just a speck of cigar box. Full-bodied, rich, and decadent, the palate reveals velvety tannins and gobs of freshness. I love the complex and mineral finish. A limited production of only 50 barrels. Enjoy this one for 15 years or more. Highly recommended.
