Aged 16 months in used French oak barrels, it displays a glistening neon ruby core with a blueish rim in the glass. Lovely notes of candied black cherry, red plum skin, pencil shavings, mountain sagebrush, iron ore, saline, and dried herbs, it delivers lush depth and structure on the palate that compliments the chewy tannins and citrusy acidity nicely. Still showing incredibly young, please give this a few years in the bottle before enjoying. Just 68 cases made. Highly recommended.
