Displaying a medium cranberry-ruby core with a blueish rim in the glass, the 2020 Signet Granche comes from all Red Mountain fruit in the Red Heaven Vineyard. It’s fermented for 20 months in 100% neutral French oak. Aromas of blueberry pie, powdered graphite, Red Mountain sage, potpourri, and a hint of forest floor. The palate gives crunchy tannins and a lovely black-cherry and earthy note on the finish. A beautiful Grenache from a winery that is new to me. A very small production of only 50 cases were made.
