An opulent deep purple core with a brickish rim in the glass, this mélange of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Merlot, with the remainder being Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. It’s aged in 75% new French oak, which helps sweeten the tannins and gives it some yummy toasted baking spice components that hit the nose and on the palate. This scintillating Cabernet makes you sit up and pay attention. An explosive nose of crushed black plums, black cherry compote, purple wildflowers, dusty country road, dried eucalyptus, and tobacco leaf pops from the glass. The palate is perfectly balanced between the fruit, tannins, acidity, and toasted baking spice notes that present themselves on the mid-palate. Better in 2023. A stunning wine that is highly recommended.
