Bright neon purple core with a blueish rim in the glass, the 2020 Mourvèdre from Weathereye is a peppery, spicy, and delicious wine. Starting off a tad dusty on the nose, it quickly reveals additional notes of ripe red cherry, toasted ground peppercorn, pencil eraser, bitter herbs, and black tea. Medium to full body on the palate, the mouthfeel is luxuriant, and the finish ends with a bitter herbal note.
