The 2013 'La Bauge' Pinot Noir is spectacular, classic style of Pinot Noir. The wine was aged in 50% new French oak Barrels made by François Frères in the small village of St. Romain. The aromas jump from the glass with notes of dark cherries and red berries woven together with exotic spices, mint, leather, earthy scents and dried violets which all come together in this gorgeous effort. On the palate this is elegant and smooth with outstanding overall balance and precision from start to finish. Everything continues to build and expand on the pretty finish where delicious red berries and spices linger on. Delicious now and will continue to drink well over the course of the next decade plus.
