The 2016 Napa Valley Merlot from Sterling VIneyards begins with aromas of red and dark currants, mocha, backing spices and hints of licorice all take shape. Medium-boded with lovely soft inviting texture, giving way to a core of red currants spices and floral which persist through the finish. This will be accessible upon release, and should continue to drink nicely over the next few years.
