The 2016 ‘Carbone’ is sensational showing from Andy Erickson and Annie Favia, which is composed of approximately 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot. This red immediately begins to impress with its fresh and vibrant aromas of dark and red currants that combine with violets, spices, and mineral nuances all taking shape. On the palate this is full-bodied and supple, with beautifully polished tannins framing the core of ripe dark and blue fruits. It goes on to impress as gorgeous underlying acidity keeps it fresh and juicy through the long finish. While this is absolutely delicious today, it also possesses the characteristics to age gracefully for well over a decade.
