The 2017 Oakville Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from The Setting instantly begins to impress as it displays a menacing dark color, with aromas of ripe blackberries, blackcurrants and even hints of blueberries that are joined by baking spices, herbs and mocha. The palate is full-bodied with a rich supple texture and a wonderful voluptuous mouthfeel that is framed by gorgeous underlying acidity that provides incredible freshness that lasts all the way through the long opulent finish. Overall this is an utterly delicious bottle of Cabernet that is absolutely amazing to approaching in its youth, however it also has the potential to age for quite some time.
