The 2017 Spottswoode Cabernet Sauvignon Lyndenhurst' is composed of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot. It begins with aromas of blackberries, dark cherries, exotic spices, pepper, dried violets and cedar box which all burst from the glass. The palate is medium-plus bodied, with a core of red and dark fruits framed by notable underlying acidity and grainy tannins that grip hold nicely on the finish. This is another lovely wine from the Novak's and Aron Weinkauf which should go on to drink beautifully for years to come.
