The Candlestick Red is a blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Grenache. It begins with aromas of ripe dark cherries, raspberry compote, plum, violets, wild herbs, with underlying notes of tar, black pepper and crushed stones all taking shape in the glass. On the palate this shows remarkable depth and concentration with a gorgeous velvety, plush texture that is laced with wonderful ripe blackberry, red fruits and spices that continue to leave an impression all the way through the finish. Delicious today, and will develop over the next 5-8 years or more.
