The 2019 Artalade Montagna Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon instantly begins to impress as it shows gorgeous aromas of ripe blackberries and dark currants, which are accented by graphite, spices, cocoa powder, violets, tilled soil and hints of dried sage that all develop in the glass. On the palate this is full-bodied and impeccably structured with beautifully polished tannins that firmly wrap its core. This goes on to impress as it displays outstanding balance and concentration, with layers of ripe dark fruits that continue to persist through the supple finish. This is an exceptional wine from the vintage, and while it is already very impressive, it should become even more compelling with just some short-term cellaring..
