The 2010 Cakebread Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon brings aromas and flavors of blackberry, plum and raspberry along with damp earth, chocolate, anise with a hint of spice. This shows nice concentration of fruit with a medium-full body, silky texture and plush finish. It continues to evolve in the glass and should continue to do so in the cellar for the next 5-10 years. The 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, 4% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot, 1% Malbec was aged in French oak for 18 months. (Best 2014-2024) - November, 2013 (JD)
