MINER Cabernet Sauvignon 'Emily’s Cuvée' 2013

The 2013 'Emily’s Cuvée' impresses right out of the gate. This Blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc is sourced from the Stagecoach, Emilio’s Terrace, Buselli, Miner and Schlein Vineyards. It displays a dark, inky color and instantly bursts open with black cherries and dark currants followed by sweet spices, dusty herbs, anise and hints of lightly toasted oak. This beautifully polished cuvée demonstrates excellent structure and balance leading up to the long, gripping finish, which is marked by a lovely touch of acidity. Overall the 2013 ‘Emily’s Cuvée’ is fantastic showing which should continue to evolve over the next decade. (Best 2016-2026) - March, 2016 (JD)
