ROBERT BIALE Petite Sirah 'E.B.A.' 2013

An exceedingly profound and deep wine, 2013 Robert Biale 'E.B.A.' Petite Sirah is the most compelling of its kind that I have tasted in the past year. Seductive, dense and simply delicious, this wine was sourced from the Biale Family Vineyard, which is planted to Stags Leap clone Petite Sirah. As this begins to open it releases intoxicating aromatics of ripe black cherries, blueberry compote, cardamom and black tea. There are gorgeous ripe flavors of black cherries, crème de cassis and blueberry pie along with black tea and anise. Today this is showing extremely well, and should continue to drink well over the course of next decade. (Best 2016-2023) - November, 2016 (OB)
