The 1995 Cardinale is a blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Merlot. This wine is now more than 20 years old and still showing beautifully. Earthy aromatics dominate with leather, dusty earth and red cherries with red currants. The texture is seamless and the tannins have beautifully integrated, as the wine shows red cherry, boysenberry, smoked meat and savory nuances that all come together. This is a fantastic effort and despite its age looks to have at least another decade of evolution ahead.
