The 1998 is another fantastic wine from Cardinale, composed of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon with 16% Merlot. It delivers aromas of cherries and blackberry pie along with savoy and herb characteristics. The polished and soft texture makes this wine shine, as flavors of black tea, anise and blackberry pie continue to add complexity. While this is drinking beautifully now, it also shows the potential to withstand another decade in the cellar.
